Helen Keller National Center
Helen Keller National Center (HKNC) teaches the deaf-blind community to use tactile touch (skin-to-skin sign language) as a way to communicate in a more personal way. But recently they've noticed that the rest of us, the sighted and hearing, have lost that human connection. We bury our heads in our smartphones and tune out the world with our earbuds. The deaf-blind know that the best connections are human. These social experiments sought to bring that reality to life.
